When I was a kid, all I wanted to do was draw animals and read. I used to read the back flaps of all my favorite picture books, and I always knew that one day I would make it big as a children’s book illustrator.
Now, I’m a Communications Design graduate of Pratt Institute, a published illustrator (board books What’s In My Garden? and What’s In My Toybox?) and illustrator and designer of the Little Farmer toddler app for the iPhone/iPad.
By day, I’m a design assistant at Putnam/Nancy Paulsen Books (Penguin Young Readers), taking the publishing industry by storm.
By night, I’m living in Brooklyn, still drawing animals, still reading, and still knowing that one day I’ll do big things in the children’s book world.
Only now, it’s time to make it happen.
